  • number of coins being staked July 14, 2018
hi, I was just wondering if there's any way of finding out how many coins are being staked at a certain time. I understand the percentage of dividend increases if say only half of the available coins are being staked? Is there any way of finding this info out? submitted by /u/Kukuman88 [link] [comments]

  • Bad Initial Experience July 10, 2018
Tiny weeny little grey-on-white letters? (And I'm typing this on supa-groovy Particl background with big patches of white where you can't even see what you're typing.) What this says to me is that the designers have not put themselves in the shoes of their adopters. EDIT: Nope! I'm done! We are working over dozens of […]

What Is Particl ?

Particl is a blockchain based startup whose main concern is the privacy of its users as it seeks to bring buyers and sellers of goods and services from all over the world under a single roof to transact with one another without ever needing to resort to middlemen that makes their transactions expensive. Particl sees the present online market places as cumbersome, with slow transactions and keeps people who desperately need those platforms for trade from having equal opportunities despite geographical location. It also views the constant raids by online criminals on centralized marketplaces often stealing the identity and payment info of millions of users in such raids as something that drastically needs a solution.

Under the Particl platform the buyer and seller will not only get to transact with one another directly with no need of a middleman, they also get to do that under a completely private atmosphere that ensures no single information gets leaked or hacked. Leveraging on the huge powers of the blockchain technology, the buyer now has a place where they can purchase goods and services without ever needing to insert their credit card details by simply using the native currency of the platform known as “Part”. Communications are also completely secured as neither computers participating in keeping the blockchain alive nor any other entity gets to know what the buyer and seller are transacting on.

Team
The Particl team is led by Ryno Mathee, with Gerlof Van Ek, Shazzy, Paul Shimtzer, and Hank Swardt also on the team.
Practical Uses
Particl is a platform whose real world use cannot get any closer to day to day life. The present online market places such as Amazon, EBay and Alibaba, are more or less still regionalized in their services, where a buyer often is unable to buy certain goods or services because they are in the wrong “country store”. Another crucial problem these centralized businesses deal with is the fact that the user needs to give up almost every part of their identity to the platform and trust that this identity will not get compromised or stolen.
These are inefficiencies that the present online marketplace ecosystem grapples with, which need an urgent solution to save it from implosion. The Particl platform will do away with all the problems that plague the present online markets. Whatever you transact with between you and your seller is entirely up to you. There will be no Big Brother prying into your privacy or storing your personal data. Particl is very big on privacy and does everything to ensure that yours is never compromised as you trade and deal on its network.

Particl is a proof of stake coin that users get interest from their wallet holdings
Investor’s Notes
The present online marketplaces are used by internet shoppers purely out of necessity rather than convenience. Most of these marketplaces have overriding security problems that expose the users to the hacks of their information. There is a huge section of the present market users that are dissatisfied and would love to have a more private and less costly alternative. Particl if properly optimized could really reap in big in this niche.
