Bridgetown is the capital and the only city of Barbados, therefore it sees many tourists every year. There are possibly 2 min things making Bridgetown famous: its duty free shopping and the port for cruise ships. The place was once a port for ships. Instead of ships, now you will find restaurants, boutiques, and bars, one side and luxury boats on the other side. At times you might feel you stepped some 150 years or more back in time.
Scuba divers will love stopping by The Dive Shop where they can select the desired diving experience: one tank, 2 tanks, multi-dive packages, and so on. Snorkeling is another option to choose.
Buying merchandise meant for tourists is the easiest task with plenty of vendors to be found across the city, more expensive jewelry, cheap clothes, and Caribbean music, are other shopping options.
