What Is Dash ?
DASH is decentralized and an open source network that enables users to carry-out instant transactions and makes payments. As a peer-to-peer network, it gives users access to share information securely and is not regulated by a third party.
DASH cryptocurrency was launched on the 18th of January,2014 and the Application was developed by a renowned developer called “Evan Duffied.”It was initially known as Xcoin, later changed to Darkcoin in February 2014 and then, changed to DASH in that same year.
Dash management team is made up of Mr. Ryan Taylor as CEO, Mr. Andy Freer as CTO and Mr. Udjinm as the Lead Developer. The Dash Team has since grown to 30 full-time employees, 20 part-time employees, and dozens of unpaid volunteers.
It is used for transfer of funds.
Many merchants accept DASH coins so that you can use it for transactions.
The platform can be used to store assets.
Dash uses its coin, such as cloud mining, ASIC miner hardware, and CPU/GPU mining. All the mining methods will not give one the same result, and that’s why one needs to use the method that suits his/her purpose carefully.
Cloud Mining: This is one of the best ways to mine, and all it requires is to team up with a group of mine, and the group will put their resources together. Once the group can solve the computational problem, the transactions are recorded in the blockchain, and the new blocks are added, the pool will earn their reward in the form of coins. Everyone in the group will receive the share of the reward based on his/her contribution to the mining.
ASIC Miner Hardware: When Bitcoin introduced ASIC, they did that to reduce electricity cost, fast hash rate and to increase efficiency.
ASIC is a specialized machine that is thermally regulated, and it can mine with a better result regarding efficiency and cost.
CPU/GPU Mining: This is a specialized hardware with a graphical interface. It uses Proof of Work(PoW) to mine. The GPU seems to be faster and more efficient than the CPU. It takes time to record the transactions to the blockchain and this delays rewards. The advantage CPU/GPU mining has over others is that it gives better privacy. Please note that you need to disable some programs running on your computer such as antivirus in other to get a better mining result.
